Kirk Cousins To The Broncos Is Very Close

While on the air for The Herd, Colin Cowherd received a text from an unnamed source, who he explained he trusts a lot, saying that Kirk Cousins to the Broncos is very close.

Cousins, who has played the past two seasons under the Redskins franchise tag has limited time remaining in Washington after the team just traded for Alex Smith. Cousins has bet on himself the for the last two years, and it was likely he would do that again with another franchise tag.. not anymore. There are a lot of options for Kirk. Solid teams who are in need of a quarterback, without wanting to take a risk in the draft. But apparently, out of all teams in the search for a QB, the Broncos are the most interested in Cousins and a signing is very close. The Broncos reportedly are willing to offer Cousins a high contract, involving major guaranteed money.

Cousins to the Broncos makes complete sense. Ever since Peyton Manning retired, the Broncos QB situation has been a train wreck. Between Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch, the Broncos have not had good quarterback play. With receiver weapons in Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, a decent run game with CJ Anderson and Devonate Booker, and the stellar defense the Broncos have, Cousins can make this a dangerous Denver team.

Von Miller went on the Dan Patrick show this morning and said, “We need Kirk. I would like to have Kirk. We have great quarterbacks now. Kirk could take us over the edge.”

With the franchise player coming out and showing his support for Kirk Cousins, it shows how intriguing this move would be. With poor quarterback play in recent years, John Elway must be really wanting a QB who he knows can get the job done. Rather than draft a quarterback and take a chance on a kid you don’t really know about, the signing of Kirk Cousins makes a lot of sense.

With Alex Smith coming to Washington and taking over the starting QB job, Kirk Cousins rumors are starting to pour in, along with the speculation of where he’d fit best and which organizations would want him. With Colin Cowherd hearing that Cousins to the Broncos is very close, it’s looking like he’ll end up in Denver, where he would be a great fit.
