The 2018 NASCAR Season is here lets preview the season with the Super Teams one by one.

Hendrick Motorsports

Drivers: Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliott, Alex Bowman, William Byron

The New York Yankees of NASCAR, a Chevy Superteam, Hendrick Motorsports brings a totally different look to this season. The staple of the program the Seven-Time Champion the greatest of all time Jimmie Johnson returns in his famous #48 car. Chase Elliott moves from the #24 car to the #9, and two newcomers enter the ring. Alex Bowman fills the void of the retired Dale Earnhardt JR. William Byron comes into the #24 car replacing the departed Kasey Kahne. It’s a far cry from the legendary corps of Johnson, Earnhardt, Kahne and Jeff Gordon that showed up to Daytona just three years ago. Johnson is an obvious threat, Elliott remarkably has gone the first two years of his career without winning a race despite two top 10 finishes in the points. Bowman did some fill-in work while Earnhardt JR was out injured in 2016, but Byron is a fresh as lettuce and steps into a car with a legendary history and a reputation to uphold.

Joe Gibbs Racing-Furniture Row Racing

Drivers: Martin Truex JR, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Erik Jones, Daniel Suarez

Two of the last three Champions will be behind the wheel in these strong fast Toyota’s. Truex the defending Champion and Busch the 2015 Champion, Denny Hamlin a man on the shortlist for the best driver without a Championship and rookie Erik Jones replaces the retired Matt Kenseth. Daniel Suarez the only international born man to win a NASCAR Championship is back as well,  Gibbs/Row racing has been the best team in NASCAR over the past few season and there is no reason not to expect that to continue in 2018.

Stewart Hass Racing

Drivers: Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola

Two Champions Harvick and Busch lead this team owned by the legendary Tony Stewart behind Ford powerBowyer’s first year in the #14 car replacing Stewart was a letdown but he seems poised to bounce back. Aric Almirola comes over from Richard Petty’s car to replace the retiring Danica Patrick.

Penske Racing

Drivers: Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney

These three studs will climb behind the wheel of Fords, Logano coming off a down year in 2017, Keselowski came within seconds of his 2nd career title, they’ll add Ryan Blaney to the mix as the Captain brings the #12 car back from retirement.

Chip Ganassi Racing

Drivers: Jamie McMurray, Kyle Larson

McMurray and Larson behind the wheels of Hendrick Powered Chevy’s. One veteran with potential to notch a few wins and what many consider the next coming of Jeff Gordon in Larson who has a championship pedigree.

Predictions

Most Wins: Kyle Larson

Rookie of the Year: William Byron

Champion: Brad Keselowski
