By now we all know what happened the other day with Brandin Cooks being traded to the Rams. I’m not fired up about it, but whatever. What I am fired up for though, is the 2018 Los Angeles Rams.
I really thought the Rams were a fun team in 2017 and now they’ve just dumped a bucket of stars on top of an already young and exciting group. Jared Goff, Todd Gurley, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald just saw Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib and Cooks added to the mix. The stars on the field in LA match the ones off of it. It’s going to be entertaining as hell.
Will the Rams actually improve though? They’ll have a mountain of expectations and if they fall short of say, the NFC Championship Game, I’d consider it a failure. That’s going to be tough though because they still are so young and lack a whole ton of time in the spotlight. It’ll surely be on them this year and hopefully fans in Los Angeles will take notice as much as the rest of the country will.
*Others have pointed this out, but the Rams did all this by getting guys with expiring contracts for draft picks. They coulddddd just be ruining their franchise. Can’t wait to find out.
