It’s Here, it’s Finally Here. Football.

As the weekend begins to start, many sports fans are waiting for it to end, on a Sunday, on football Sunday. On September 9th, thirty of the thirty-two NFL teams will be lacing up for a battle they intend to win. I will be giving my opinion and reasoning on why I believe these games will finish the way I will be predicting.

Pittsburgh Steelers VS Cleveland Browns– The Steelers have been the favorite of this matchup for years and years and that doesn’t change for their opening matchup. I do give the Browns their best chance to beat the Steelers this season, with their fiery offensive depth and some explosiveness on the defensive side of the ball. This matchup features a top 3 offense in the Steelers with a great team chemistry between wide receivers Juju Smith, Antonio Brown and QB Ben Roethlisberger, These three stars will make it hard for any defense to hold them to yards that won’t hurt their odds to win. The Browns on the other hand also have some players that will make it tough for the Steelers to establish momentum from the beginning, featuring a mentally tough defense led by Myles Garret, and former Patriots Jamie Collin Sr. during the Off-Season the Browns did acquire WR Jarvis Landry, and drafted Antonio Callaway who could have an instant impact if he can stay out of trouble.

I’m taking the Steelers by 14.

Minnesota Vikings VS San Francisco 49ers– I do like the 49ers odds this season but not with their week one matchup with the Vikings. Minnesota, in my opinion, has a top defense in the NFL, if not the best, their secondary is fast, physical, and hit hard while their front line give the opposing QB little to no time to establish a play. the Vikings also have a top WR duo in the NFL which Consists of Stephon Diggs, and Adam Thelin, not listed at WR but TE Kyle Rudolph is a top WR for their team and could be seen as a top TE in the NFL, RB Dalvin Cook will make his return from an ACL tear but look for him to be hungry from the jump and make an instant impact.

I think the 49ers have great success that will lead off from last season but it won’t be enough and will end Jimmy G’s Winless streak to 7-1, taking the Vikings by 17.

Cincinnati Bengals VS Indianapolis Colts-I’ll keep this nice and short due to these two teams recent but not so good success, I think the Bengals are a lost team with a coach who loves his players but isn’t harsh enough for their success, and can be good but just does not know their identity… The Colts, on the other hand, COULD be good with the return of Elite QB Andrew Luck, Luck is returning from an Injury that many thought would keep out of football for a really long time if not for good. Luck hasn’t played a game outside of Pre-Season snaps since the 2015 season, when luck is healthy the Colts have gone 11-5 in the Three seasons without an injury to their stud QB luck, I think the Colts start slow, really slow and don’t find the right momentum until weeks 4 or 5 but I give them the slight advantage in this matchup and make the Colts a 7 point favorite.

Tennessee Titans VS Miami Dolphins– The Dolphins are a team who many believe will have little success this year, their defense isn’t anything special and their offense is lacking lots of quality depth throughout their roster, I look for Danny Amendola the first year WR out of New England to have an immediate impact with Ryan Tannehill’s impact on the teams ability to win. The Titans, on the other hand, have a little bit more firepower and something to be excited for, a young talented secondary and a leader in Malcolm Butler to help ensure PBU’s and INT’s. Mariota is coming off a playoff run that ended against the Patriots and a Season that I think wasn’t “Wowing” but I look for him to bounce back with a healthy Corey Davis, and top five TE Delanie Walker. I Believe the Titans win and I give them a 13 point favorite.

New England Patriots VS Houston Texans– The New England Patriots enter the 2018 season as the favorite to win it all, they also are favored by 13 points against the Houston Texans who I believe win the AFC South, the Patriots are shallow at the wide receiver position, but, look for Tom Brady to come out hot and ready to win with all the speculation surrounding his age. With the question surrounding the New Englands WR’s expect to see a lot of ground and pound from their back, Rex Burkhead, James White, and if healthy Sony Micheal. The Texans have a young and hungry team led by Deshawn Watson who is coming off an ACL tear, I expect him to start slow and skittish but as the game begins to speed up and players are getting fierce he’ll be throwing dimes to top five WR Deondre Hopkins. The Texans get Defensive ends, J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney, so look for them to give number 12 trouble right after the coin toss. I Believe the Patriots take this one in a close battle 30-21.

New Orleans Saints VS Tampa Bay Buccaneers– This is a matchup I don’t believe will be great, the saints are one of the best in the NFC with QB Drew Brees leading the way with explosive RB Alvin Kamara. I expect this to be a blowout and the Saints to destroy the Buccs 31-13.

Jacksonville Jaguars VS New York Giants– This is a matchup many expect to be heavy in trash talk and really good, I expect Odell Beckham and DB Jalen Ramsey to be at each other’s throat from the start, many believe that this will be a close game, but I believe this will be a game heavily favored for the Jags. I think Jacksonville takes this one 24-14.

Baltimore Ravens VS Buffalo Bills– After many years of disappointment for the Ravens I believe this season they head in the right direction winning 9 games and winning their opener against Buffalo, with Joe Flacco on the hot seat I think he’ll play like his old, the Ravens lack depth at the receiver position but I look to see them succeed with their passing game and their running game opening up the game with high momentum from the start. The Bills on the other hand lack depth everywhere and I don’t see them being any good anytime soon. I’m taking the Ravens by 14.

Los Angeles Chargers VS Kansas City Chiefs- I think this will be one of the best games this Sunday, this will be a big offensive game for gunslingers Phillip RIvers, and Patrick Mahomes, I see both QBs surpassing 300 yards each and the total score being above 50 combined points. I give the Chargers the slight advantage and have them winning by 7

Denver Broncos VS Seattle Seahawks– This matchup features a Seahawks team who has to overcome so much adversity to even consider making the playoffs, and a Broncos team who is coming off a 5-11 season, I think last season for Denver was a fluke and they will have higher standards and expectations for new QB Case Keenum. I think this game will be low scoring and tight to the all the way to the finish. I give the Broncos a very slight advantage and make them a 3 point favorite.

Washington Redskins VS Arizona Cardinals– The Redskins are 0-4 under head coach Jay Gruden in home openers, but with new QB Alex Smith that could change for Washington, I see them being successful early and not slowing down on the Cardinals, I give the Skins a 10 point favorite.

Dallas Cowboys VS Carolina Panthers– The Dallas Cowboys are in trouble, not only against the Panthers but this whole season, I do not see them doing anything special for their organization and fans, their WR core is one of the worst in the NFL now that All-Pro and HOF TE Jason Witten retired and All-Pro WR Dez Bryant was cut. I Expect the Panthers to have a Reliable offense behind Cam Newton as well as their receiving core which features, Greg Olson, Devin Funchess, rookie D.J. Moore and Running Back Christian McCaffery who is a threat at running the ball as well as receiving it. I give the Carolina Panthers a 14 point win.

Green Bay Packers VS Chicago Bears– The Green Bay Packers are coming into this game with high excitement as Aaron Rodgers returns from a collarbone injury that had sidelined him for the season, Rodgers gets a new RedZone Monster in TE Jimmy Grahm and I expect them to be hot and ready week one against the Bears, the Packers let a Fan favorite Jordy Nelson walk and this fan base wasn’t too happy about that so to earn that energy from your fan you’re gonna have to play great and give them a show so look for WR Devante Adams to put on a show. The Bears just acquired All-Pro and last years defensive player of the year Khalil Mack who is nearly unstoppable when lined up one on one so look for him to give the Packer O-Line and Aaron Rodgers some trouble all game, during the off-season the bears acquired WR Allen Robison, Taylor Gabriel, and TE Trey Burton and all three of these guys gave something to their former team that the bears did not have last season, with the physicality of Trey Burton (Eagles), the speed of Taylor Gabrial (Falcons), and route running by Allen Robinson (Jaguars) I expect them to be better than last year and break even in the win/loss column. I think this will be a tough battle for both teams, but I favor the Packers by 10 points.

New York Jets VS Detroit Lions-  Jets/Lions that’s all I have to say about this one, Lions by 17.

Las Vegas Raiders VS Los Angeles Rams– The Raiders are a team that everyone is skeptical about, in 2016 they go for competing in the playoffs, to 2017 to winning only 6 games. incoming new coach Jon Gruden isn’t new to this game, he knows the way around football so don’t expect a slow start from Coach Gruden. The Rams have all kinds of things to be excited about this season, the acquisitions of Defensive backs Aqib Talib, and Marcus Petters, Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh, and speedster WR Brandin Cooks. The Raiders are going to have their hands full with this explosive Rams roster and I don’t really give them much of a chance, taking the Rams by 17.
