I’m not going to lie to whoever reading this. Yesterday’s win was probably one of the best wins I have seen for this Lions team. I know two weeks ago they beat the Patriots and they played just as good there, but this was different.

Yes, the total yardage was in favor for the Packers, as well was the first downs. But the turnovers favored the Lions 3-0 and that helped this team win. Getting a turnover is one thing, but getting seven or three points off of it is another thing. The Lions scored 21 points off of Packers turnovers in the first half yesterday and that was big. To execute and score three touchdowns were big against a team that has a quarterback named Aaron Rodgers.

Now did the Lions get lucky? Yeah you could say that. Mason Crosby had the chance to give the Packers 16 points yesterday and he ended up giving them only 3. It was a rough game for him and if he was on as he normally is, this game may of ended up differently. But he wasn’t on point, and the Lions won.

Oh shoutout to Kenny Golladay who had another big game. Four receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown. Would of been two if there wasn’t a flag for hands to the face on another one of his touchdown catches. In his second year, he’s proving to be a great target for Matt Stafford. And I only see his targets increasing as the season goes on. If he can keep playing at this level, the trio of him, Marvin Jones and Golden Tate could be the top three receiving trios in the NFL.

Kerryon Johnson had 12 rushes that went for 70 yards. He did leave in the fourth with an ankle injury but reports are saying he should be fine. With the bye week coming for the Lions this week, he should be good to go for week seven vs. the Dolphins. But he does need more carries. I get why the Lions don’t want to give him too much carries say twenty to twenty five early on in his career, but the kid almost had another one hundred yard game. Give him more carries.

As I said before, the Lions are on the bye and will comeback in week seven to face the Dolphins.
