Women’s Bantamweight: Germaine de Randamie (-169) Vs. Raquel Pennington (+150)

I’m gonna keep this one short and sweet. Raquel Pennington will defeat Germaine de Randamie. Raquel Pennington is a resident of Colorado and trains in high altitude regularly while Germaine de Randamie has been in Colorado for two weeks. Yes, Pennington lost to Amanda Nunes in her last fight but it’s been about a half a year and that should have been enough time to heal her wounds. Raquel Pennington should use her ground game to negate the scary striking of “the Iron Lady”. Raquel Pennington Def. Germaine de Randamie

The odds on this fight shock me, I would’ve expected Pennington to be at least a 2-1 favorite.

Welterweight: Donald Cerrone (+180) Vs. Mike Perry (-204)

I used to think of Mike Perry as a tool and I’m proud to say that I’ve seen the light. Perry as a Jackson-Wink Fighter doesn’t have the same attitude that he had when he trained in Florida. In his one fight where he trained in New Mexico, he looked better than ever, putting on a very entertaining battle with Paul Felder while also showing that he is no longer just a brawler. Some people think that Donald Cerrone is no longer the same tank he was when he was kicking peoples heads off at Lightweight, I am not one of them. Granted, in his last five fights, he is 1-4, but his losses were to top-level Welterweights in Jorge Masvidal, Robbie Lawler, and Darren Till, it’s also arguable that the fourth loss to Leon Edwards was actually a win. While I think that Mike Perry is much better of a fighter and person than previously, I think he will lose in this bout against Cerrone, plus Cerrone will come in very driven and focused due to his dispute with Jackson-Wink’s Coach Mike Winkeljohn, who will be cornering Mike Perry. Donald Cerrone Def. Featherweight: Chan Sung Jung (-141) Vs. Yair Rodriguez (+124)

The Korean Zombie makes his second long-awaited debut on Saturday as he faces the young Yair Rodriguez. His first long layoff ended after his required military service for the Nation of South Korea where he defeated Dennis Bermudez in the first round by Knockout. That layoff was for over three years, this current break is about half of that. And he faces a young challenger in Yair, who has not fought in over a year himself and is coming in as a short notice replacement. Yair got broken in his most recent fight where he ran into the always game, Frankie Edgar. He was also expected to face Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC 228 but pulled out with an injury. Typically when fights take place the location doesn’t play too much of a factor. But in Mile-High Denver, Altitude can make or break a fighter, Most historically seen at UFC 188 when “Cardio” Cain Velasquez had trouble adjusting to the altitude. The Korean Zombie has been training in Denver for the last three weeks while Rodriguez has been known about this fight for about two weeks. I’m picking The Korean Zombie to get it done. Chan Sung Jung Def. Yair Rodriguez
